Welcome Aboard!
The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is
a non-profit volunteer organization that
supports the United States Coast Guard and
the Department of Homeland
Security in
its humanitarian missions. In Flotilla 02-05, we work
directly with the Marine Safety Unit of Chicago.
We train,
learn, develop, and execute missions alongside some of the most
professional and knowledgeable people that the U.S. Coast Guard has to
offer. From Marine Science, to Patrols, to Harbor Safety, Flotilla
02-05 is there and always ready to support Team Coast Guard in its
missions at the Marine Safety Unit. In addition to our responsibilities to the Active-Duty Coast Guard; we perform huge services to the citizens of the Chicago land area by performing complimentary vessel safety checks, safe boating classes, and many more services. One of the most valuable opportunities we offer the public is Membership in the Auxiliary. Membership in the Coast Guard Auxiliary is very simple yet very rewarding; as a member, you are able to receive free training by the Auxiliary or Coast Guard, access to the Coast Guard Mutual Assistance and much more is on our Public Services page.
